all the talk about Drury and Briere had me looking up numbers before the outage. The one thing i wanted to repost was this:

Looking back at Drury's year with Calgary and found it funny that the Flames had Lydman, Boughner, Leopold, Regehr and Montador on their team that year.

Looks like the Wild are looking to make another trade and Setoguchi is who they're looking to move. Think Stafford for Setoguchi straight up would be fair for both teams?

Also, Sharks looking to add a 2-way forward for 3rd or 4th line and are not too worried about scoring. Think Staff or Hecht would be something they would go for?

I'd make that deal Staff for Setoguchi. Staff would be happy to go play with his best friend Parise too. Setoguchi makes 3m per for this year and next that's not bad.

I wouldn't deal Hecht because he's cheap, a center, and defensively responsible. It Lindy overusing him, hell yes. But we're still thin at center. We can afford to deal any unless we get one back. Staff for Setoguchi Sure, why not? We could sell it as "Stafford is a midwest boy coming home, He'll FLOURISH with the wild!" Boyes wasn't a bad player, he wasn't even remotely used correctly. Hecht BELONGS on the 4th line, boyes should have been on the second, through good and bad, Like Stafford is now. And we still need to move a D for SOMETHING.....

Isn't he playing with Tavares and moulson? It's like Kassian playing with the twins; they're going to put up points no matter what. I never cared about Boyes one way or another, but I always thought lindy misused him. Kind of like Torres, leino, Gerbe and countless others. Why bother bringing them in if you're just going to use them as spare parts?

The Sabres will finish the year in out of the playoffs and too good to get a top 5 pick. I think they need to trade off some veterans, play guys like Grigorenko and Hodgson 20+ per night. Let them take their bumps and get better. DOn't sit Grigs for Hecht....That is bad for the organization! Oh yeah, Fire Ruff!

For fantasy sake, what say when the light goes on in Peggy's head and he cans the dynamic duo, he pulls out the stops and hires Chris Drury for coach. Pay him whatever he wants.

Agreed I don't like goalies involved in that deal but I'd like us to make a push for Weiss.
